September 2016 – POLITICS – In the past, Kim Kardashian has been pretty vocal about her support for Hillary Clinton. But in a recent interview with Wonderland Magazine, the reality star apparently revealed she’s now “on the fence” about her presidential pick, thanks to a few conversations she’s had with Caitlyn Jenner. “At first I thought, ‘Oh my god, I’m so Hillary [Clinton],’ but I had a long political call with Caitlyn last night about why she’s voting Trump. I’m on the fence,” she purportedly said in an excerpt posted by The Evening Standard. After the comment went viral, a representative for Wonderland denied the Kardashian quotes appear in the published issue, or online; according to The Huffington Post, however, the quotes are legitimate. Kardashian’s Trump statement also still appears on the Evening Standard website.
An email to the Evening Standard was not immediately returned; the author of the Wonderland story, Eve Barlow, directed inquiries to Wonderland and representatives for Kardashian. Reps for Kardashian were not immediately available for comment. Jenner has been outspoken about her politics, and on her now cancelled docu-series I Am Cait, professed support for Trump. “[H]e would be very good for women’s issues,” she said, adding that Clinton was a “political hack.” As for Kardashian, she came out in support of Clinton after posting a selfie with the Democratic nominee for president last year. –EW
Populism sweeping the world: After roughly a decade of liberal ownership of international geopolitics, most notably in countries like France, Sweden, Germany, Canada, and the United States, it appears that they now have one more thing in common: Their constituents are absolutely sick of the direction their countries have turned toward. Now it appears that many of these nations are experiencing a new kind of revolution situated around a mounting anger of the common people with their government. A growing divide between the interests of the people and the actions of their governments has resulted in a worldwide phenomenon, led by a handful of unlikely frontmen (and women), perhaps most notably Donald Trump. –Regated
Commentary: The world is changing faster than anyone could’ve ever imagined. What we’re seeing is a paradigm shift. It is a paradigm shift in power. People have seen the ill effects of globalism and internal trade treaties that only benefit the wealthy and multinational corporations. They have seen hegemony’s hand aiding in the destruction of nation states across the globe that refused to follow the script of power. They have seen the unrestrained, corrupt power of large banking institutions which have burdened them with debt and negative interest rates. The liberal geopolitical leftist power paradigm, currently running the world, has only produced a plastic society where the rich get richer and the poor is only becoming more destitute. Political leaders are out of touch with their electorate. Corruption is rampant. Faith in government and political leaders are at its lowest level in modern history. Murder, crime, and violence have infected our cities. The disenfranchised are only becoming more angry and desperate.
Change is inevitable. Things can’t keep going on the way that they are – not when the lives of 7 billion people are hanging in the balances. As the old saying goes, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” Populism is challenging the current power paradigms of the world – the very way things have traditionally been done and haven’t worked. At the heart of this growing fervor, people want control of their own lives and want the liberty to steer the destiny of their own individual nations. Can we blame them? It‘s the time of the rise of populism and nationalism and the decline of globalism. This is a definitive time in human history and no one wants to be on the wrong side of this monumental shift in geopolitical societal values – especially Hollywood, the golden celluloid factory in the California hills, which makes its living sells dreams to the world.
