August 2016 – GEOPOLITICS – Immigration is spurring negative attitudes from the U.S. to Russia, according to an Ipsos Mori study that lays bare the attitude to migrants around the world. About 45 percent of more than 16,000 people surveyed in 22 nations said immigration has had a negative effect on their country, compared with 20 percent who said it was positive, Ipsos Mori said Thursday in an e-mailed study. In Turkey, Italy, Russia, Hungary, France and Belgium, the proportion with negative views was more than six in 10. Almost half of the people surveyed worldwide said there are too many immigrants in their nation.
The survey exposes the tensions that immigration flows are causing in an increasingly globalized world. Elevated migration levels from within the European Union were a major plank of the successful campaign by Brexit proponents in the U.K.’s recent referendum on EU membership, while countries including Spain and Italy have faced increasing numbers of economic migrants braving treacherous seas to sail from North Africa. Greece grapples with an influx of refugees fleeing conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan via Turkey.
“Immigration is a global issue, with very few countries entirely at ease with current levels, control and the impact of the mass movement of people,” Bobby Duffy, managing director of the Ipsos Mori Social Research Institute, said in an e-mailed statement. The people surveyed were also suspicious of refugees, with four in 10 wanting to close borders to them, and six in 10 saying that terrorists are pretending to be refugees; in Turkey, the site of several recent terrorist attacks, it was 83 percent. The countries surveyed were: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the U.K. and the U.S. Research was carried out from June 24 to July 8. –Bloomberg
Muslim teen calls for murder of all Christians: Belgian police have launched a manhunt for a teenager after footage emerged of him calling for “the murder of all Christians.” The video shows the 15-year-old, who has not been named, in Verviers and, in Arabic, declaring, “Oh Allah, destroy the odious Christians. Oh Allah kill them all.” The boy is filmed on a French website saying, “Don’t spare any of them.”
The film was shot in Verviers, the scene of a successful anti-terrorism operation last year. Police said the boy has been identified and is on a list of radicalized persons, but did not disclose his name. A source said the teenager, the son of a local radical imam, posed a potentially “serious threat” to the public and they wanted to trace him “as soon as possible.” Verviers Mayor Muriel Targnion said the video was being taken seriously and has asked the police to trace the boy “as a matter of urgency.” –Telegraph
Government mutes crimes by illegals: (Virginia) Federal immigration officials in the U.S. arrested 18 people during an operation last month in Hampton Roads, including 16 who had been convicted of crimes ranging from sexual assault of a minor to driving under the influence. The operation – which spanned from July 24-28 – targeted the area “in and around” Chesapeake, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release.
The release said one of the people arrested in Chesapeake was a Mexican citizen who was arrested in November 2009 in Pennsylvania in connection with a sex offense. The man was convicted the following May of “sexual assault charges against a minor” and served more than two years in a state prison before being released and deported. The man was found July 25 inside a Chesapeake home, having re-entered the United States without permission, the release said.
An ICE spokeswoman declined to identify the sex offender, explaining “federal privacy laws” prevented her from releasing such information because he was arrested on immigration charges. The other two people who were arrested – who had not been previously convicted of crimes – were “recent border crossers,” the spokeswoman said. –Virginian Pilot
Under-reporting sex crimes by migrants in Germany: You don’t get this from the Main Stream Media: On VDARE.com, we just posted a blog detailing the appalling rape crisis unleashed on Germany by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s astounding decision to allow over a million Muslim “refugees” to enter last year. Only one in 10 rapes in Germany is now reported and just 8% of rape trials result in convictions, according to Minister of Justice Heiko Maas.
“There are strict instructions from the top not to report offenses committed by refugees. It is extraordinary that certain offenders are deliberately NOT being reported about and the information is being classified as confidential.”— High-ranking police official in Frankfurt, quoted in the German newspaper Bild.
This is coming to an America near you. We need your donations to make sure silence does not prevail. Just before we posted about the rape crisis, VDARE.com also reported on the Obama Administration’s characterization of its goal of 10,000 Syrian refugees this year is “a floor, not a ceiling.” And that the U.S. has accepted some two million Muslim immigrants since 9/11. VDARE.com has a permanent tag, “Not Reporting Race,” which reflects systematic suppression of the race, immigration status etc. by the Main Stream Media and the American government. We’ve been tracking this phenomenon for 15 years. –Vdare
German family leaves country due to out of control migrant crisis: A German family have travelled to Russia to claim asylum, saying their homeland was no longer safe due to the huge migrant influx. Andre Griesbach and wife Carola drove 1,400 miles to Moscow in camper van, with two daughters and four grandchildren crammed in the back. The family said they were escaping the “German dictatorship” of Chancellor Angela Merkel, insisting Russian society was far better than their own. The family arrived in Russia on New Year’s Eve 2015 and have so far been stranded in a motel as they struggle with paperwork.
Russia considers Germany a “safe country” for asylum purposes, but the family have so far avoided deportation due to legal technicalities. “We have been worried ever since we staged a protest against the German Government outside the Bundestag from September to December 2013,” Andre said. “We don’t feel like Germany is a safe place for us, or to bring up children. When we left Germany in December 2015 we had no time to organize anything. We only got a tourist visa just so we could enter the country. There was no time to arrange a work visa.” –Breitbart
